How to: Bake cinnamon rolls

Ingredients:

1 box white cake mix

2 packages dry yeast

2 1/2 cups warm water

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp salt

5 cups flower

2 cups white sugar

Cinnamon

1/2 cup softened butter

1 can Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Frosting

 

  1. Mix yeast and warm water until dissolved
  2. Combine cake mix, salt, and flour in a large bowl
  3. Add water/yeast and vanilla to flour and pink food coloring
  4. Knead dough with hands until fully incorporated
  5. Cover tightly in bowl. Let rise for one hour. Punch down and let rise for 30 minutes.
  6. On a floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle and make about 1/4 in thick
  7. Melt butter in a bowl, and spread over dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, covering completely.
  8. Starting at the opposite end, roll the dough towards you.
  9. Slice dough into equal parts (about 24 pieces)
  10. 10. Place rolls in to a pan leaving enough space between. Place in over in 350 degrees for 15-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. 11. Meanwhile, prepare frosting by mixing frosting mix and cinnamon. Spread on hot cinnamon rolls.
