Jack Standish ’20: Jobs

Jack Standish ’20 works as a host at Lagos Tacos five days a week. His responsibilities include seating customers, running food, cleaning dishes, and more. Standish usually starts work at 4:30 p.m and gets home at 8:30 p.m or 9:00 p.m. Standish tries to complete his homework during his free blocks and meets with teachers regularly to make sure he is caught up and understanding the material. Working five days a week along with schoolwork poses a challenge, but Standish has been able to balance his busy schedules through experience, time management, and hard work.
