After ending the 2013 Baseball season with an impressive third place section finish after being seeded number 10, the Blake Boys’ Baseball team is coming back this spring ready to beat any and all competition.

Only losing two senior starters this year, the Boys’ Varsity is still filled with experienced and talented players.

Pitcher Eric Stolt ‘16 feels very confident about the squad this year stating, “we have a lot of team charisma and are all very excited about the program, I believe we will be a force to be reckoned within our conference this year, and that we have the horses on this team to go far this year.”

The Bears have already had a great start to the season with two wins, one over Edison with a very impressive score of 29-0 and the other was a big 2-1 win over Edina where Mark Lyman ‘15 was able to knock a homerun out of Aamoth. When asked about his hit, Lyman stated it was “big.”

Historically, baseball at Blake has not generated a huge fan basis but Lyman is hoping that the team will change, stating, “I really think that our team this year is the real deal, Blake Baseball is better than it has ever been. Our team will bring excitement and energy to this school and I think it would be great to generate some fans this season.”

The Bears have a great lineup of opponents this season and would love to see some fans out in the stands!
