Rosa Gerdts ’19 dons her customized Bearbotics jacket.

Kjirsten Walt has just returned from maternity leave after Spring Break as the proud mom of Leif, her baby boy. She is excited to return to her Introductory Biology Classes for the fourth quarter.

The Blake Robotics Team recently competed in the 2017 FIRST Robotics Minnesota 10000 Lakes Regional tournament and placed 48th in their first year of competing with an entirely complete robot. With only one senior graduating, prospects for this young team in the coming years look strong.

 

Members of the Blake Debate Team recently attended the 2017 National Debate Coaches Association (NCDA) National Championship. In Public Forum, Blake students Ellie Grossman ‘17 and Connor Yu ‘18 won the Season Award and Elisa Lopez ‘19 and Eva Motolinia ‘18 took home Champion. In World Schools, Anika Mirza ‘18, Nicolas Barra ‘18, Nirayudh Bhavsar ‘18 and Aditya Shekhar ‘18 won Champion in addition to Anika Mirza getting Top Speaker. Coach Shane Stafford was also awarded Tournament Host of the Year.
