The #2 ranked Blake Boys’ Soccer defeated #8 ranked Saint Thomas Academy 2-0 Tuesday night in very rainy and humid conditions. Captain Jake Lundberg ’19 led the Bears with the game winning goal early, and also had a plethora of scoring chances throughout the contest. Henry Wattson ’21 was dialed in between the pipes collecting three saves, one of which was to keep it a two score game in the final minutes of the game. The Bears’ backline was very sharp, allowing very few chances for the Saint Thomas attackers. Jackson Lagos ’22, put the game away with a one touch snipe from the top of the box thanks to a beautiful pass from Will Mortenson ’20 with 12:25 remaining in the second half. After this win, the Bears improve to 4-0-0 on the season and 3-0-0 at home. Their next game is on the road this Thursday at 6 against conference rival Minnehaha Academy.
