Due to complications with the ticket-selling company Ticketmaster, many ‘Swifties’ were not able to get tickets and were unable to attend the tour. They missed out on the experience of getting to dress up like one of Taylor Swift’s ten Eras, getting to trade friendship bracelets with other Swifties, and of course, getting to see Swift in concert.

Elise Mariano ‘26, who was unable to attend the concert, said that she was more excited about the announcement of the movie. She says that she’s excited to have the experience and get to feel the atmosphere of a lot of Swift fans together. Although it won’t be the same as getting to attend the Eras tour, many Swifties will still get a chance to experience this atmosphere and have the shared experience of enjoying music together.

Grace Gullickson ‘24, who attended day two of Swift’s concerts in Minneapolis this past June, said that she isn’t really sure if going to the movie will be the same environment as at the concert where people screamed the words, dressed up, and traded bracelets. but she hopes that it is for people who didn’t get to attend the concert. Bracelet trading became a big trend at Swift’s concerts. The bracelets people would make would have lyrics on them from Swift’s songs. This whole trend started from one of Swift’s songs, “You’re On Your Own Kid” which in the song says, “so make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.”  Many Swifties everywhere have talked about how their Eras experience was so positive because of how nice the people were. Gullickson said that she hopes Swifties who didn’t get to attend the tour will get to experience that as well as the dressing up and trading bracelets.
