On Sep. 10, ninth graders elected their Forum representatives for this school year. The election had seven candidates. Marian Stockwell ‘29 was voted as Class President, and Sienna Szerda ‘29 and Julian Racciatti ‘29 were chosen as the other two representatives.
Stockwell was excited to run for Forum because “it’s really important to spread the word about what you care about so that others know, especially when we have such a small community.”
As a freshman, she said, “We don’t have a good sense of like what’s happening, how the school works, so I think it’s really important that we tailor what we can to best fit the [freshmen] students.”
As a part of Forum, she said, “ [I am excited to] be able to play a role in what goes on.” She went on to say, “Just being able to have a say is going to be really fun.”
Freshmen have already participated in their first Forum meeting, where they joined committees and got the gist of what meetings would be like for the rest of the year.
