Your Yogurt, Your Weigh

Despite the frigid winter weather, Minnesotans are going crazy for Lake Calhoun’s newest—and coldest—addition: Yogurt Lab. This is no run-of-the-mill frozen yogurt shop. It is utterly revolutionary. It is the paradigm of all frozen dessert shops. With its interior design inspired by a chemistry laboratory, the shop features clean white walls and tables, and a giant wall-deco of the “periodic table” of yogurt flavors. Upon entering the hotspot, customers are provided with the opportunity to create their own dessert, in the true spirit of a Chemistry lab. With the pull of a lever, customers can help themselves to a variety of soft-serve frozen yogurtS, in such flavors as “green apple” and “Nutella.” Toppings include crushed candy bars, marshmallows, gummy bears, syrups, nuts, cereals and granola, flax seeds, fruits, and even popping boba. The price of a cup is determined by its weight, so don’t worry about keeping track of how much you mix up. Although the dietary benefits of frozen yogurt with toppings over ice cream are questionable, Yogurt Lab is well worth a visit.
