Organized Chaos

Organized+Chaos+

It hardly needs saying, especially as Finals Week looms closer, but life at Blake runs at a break-neck pace. Amy Juang ,’16, has found, “another outlet to express (herself)” in her Beginning Ceramics course.

Her most recent piece, created with earthenware and decorated with slip, was inspired by her recent trip to Italy and originally centered around chaos.

She intended to, “incorporate a super fun and crazy design…but then the design got modified a lot…and eventually led to organized chaos.” And isn’t that what art is all about in the first place? Finding order in disorder, meaning in chaos? In any case, Juang has  created an exquisite piece of work to grace the hallways of Blake.
