-The following paragraph, printed on page 12 in the article “Grade inflation is real: should we care?” was written by Cole Woerner ’18 and is not a quote of Beth Calderone.

Because of the increased pressures involved in applying to colleges, students now expect more of themselves, especially at this college preparatory school. As a result, students have aspired to get better grades and some teachers have changed the way they grade to better indicate their ideas about how well a student might be doing in a class.
