Feminist Art

Maya Chadda’s art shines online
Feminist+Art

Maya Chadda ’19 had ten of her pieces of artwork published in the blog “Girls Right the World” on April 25, 2017. Chadda was put in touch with the publisher of the blog through the sophomore dean, Anne Rubin.

Her pieces seek to promote feminism by viewing past expectations of women through the lens of a modern girl. Chadda’s collage “Betty Crooked” contrasts pictures of a woman in 2017 versus cut out pictures from a 1950’s Betty Crocker cookbook.

Check out all of Chadda’s pieces in the slideshow above.
