Oats Obsession: Kitchen Staple Ingredient Fuels

APPLE PIE BAKED OATS

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oats

1/3 cup milk of choice (I used almond.)

1/4 cup applesauce 

1/2 tbsp maple syrup

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

1 scoop of protein powder (optional)

Recipe:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 

2. Pulse the ingredients together in blender

3. Bake for 24 minutes

OAT FLOUR COOKIES

(inspired by @healthfulradance) (Kaylee Chen)

Ingredients: 

(dry)

1/3 cup of oats 

1 cup of oat flour

1/3 cup of any sugar (I used coconut)

Pinch of sea salt

Pinch of baking soda

(wet)

3 tbsp of any oil (I use avocado oil, to not add extra flavor, can substitute with applesauce)

3 tbsp of maple syrup

2 tbsp of any milk (I used almond)

1/2 cup of creamy salted peanut butter

Recipe:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 

2. Mix the dry and wet ingredients until combined together.

3. Add the toppings of your choice. I used chocolate chips.

4. Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper

5. Form the dough into balls and place evenly apart on tray.

6. Bake for 12-14 minutes. 

7. Take cookies out of the oven a bit undone & let them cool completely to set and enjoy!

OVERNIGHT OATS

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oats

1/4-1/2 cup of milk or yogurt (depends on your preferred thickness for oats)

1-2 tbsp chia seeds

1-2 tbsp of nut butter

1/2-1 banana

1 scoop of protein powder (optional)

Recipe:

1. Mix ingredients & refrigerate overnight in a cup of choice. 

2. Add toppings of choice (perhaps nuts, fruit, or chocolate chips) & enjoy in the morning.
