Hi! I'm Emily, and I am a senior. I have been writing for Spectrum since my freshman year. Previously I was the Niche News Section Leader as well as News, Student Life, and Food Features Editors! Now I am an Editor Emeritus and I help answer questions from the current editorial staff. My favorite part about Spectrum was being creative while making my page on InDesign. Outside of Spectrum, I enjoy traveling, being adventurous with my friends, and grilled cheese!

Over Sept. 11-13, all four grades went on retreats. Freshmen did team-building activities at school, sophmores walked downtown Minneapolis, juniors went to the Como Zoo, and seniors drove out to YMCA Camp St.Croix.

Becky Perkins 22 voices her concerns, I think that there is going to be a lot of push back from the inauguration just from Trump supporters because we already saw what happened at the capital and I think there are just going to be mini versions of that all over the country. Perkins goes on and states, There is also the whole connection with the Black Lives matters protests because they were peaceful and the police were violent and now with this, the police did absolutely nothing which resulted in people to break into the capital so it kind of proves that police can use restraint when they want to which is super annoying.
